Online Room Booking Systems

Overview

UBC staff, faculty and students can book space on campus to support operations and student learning. UBC IT Okanagan develops and maintains a small number of online room booking websites used by groups at the Okanagan campus called the Meeting Room Booking System (MRBS).

  • This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Users can book, change and cancel space bookings online. 

Requirements & Eligibility

  • This services is available to staff, faculty, and researchers.
  • Users must have an active CWL to authenticate and book a space.

Costs

The creation and maintenance of an online booking service is centrally funded and provided at no cost. 


Getting Started

To request an online room booking site, please submit a Request Access to IT Service ticket in the UBC Self-Service Portal.

Create, publish, and manage room booking policies and/or booking guidelines (i.e. Room Policies) x
Create and maintain front-facing information, content updates and content management (i.e. Book Study Space) x
Immediately report to UBC IT Okanagan if suspect their booking system has been compromised x
