Overview

UBC Studios Okanagan is a media production centre and equipment loans service dedicated to supporting UBC’s vision, purpose and values through the enhancement of education, research, campus experience and community engagement. 

Our producers provide a broad range of professional services from consultation to creation, with the technical expertise required to action your ideas into engaging and rich content. 

Whether recording your own DIY content or producing a professional media production, we provide you with the resources required to make it happen.

The services and equipment at UBC Studios Okanagan are available to faculty, students and staff to support projects that are directly related to the university and its goals.

Getting Started

Submit a Project Request Form for a consultation and to get started on your video.

Hours of Operation: 

  • September to April: 9:00am – 4:00pm Tuesday – Friday 
  • May to August: 9:00am – 12:30pm Tuesday – Friday 
  • Studio Spaces are closed on statutory holidays 

Service Description

UBC Studios Okanagan will provide consultation on project approach, tools, and timelines. If a project fits within our core service offerings, we will make available equipment and resources to produce the requested products. 

The client is responsible for articulating the vision and desired outcomes for the project and communicating these outcomes to key stakeholders in advance of production.  

During production, the client will provide a key resource to work with studios, stick to an agreed timeline, and work with the department communicator or University Relations where applicable to determine dissemination of the final project.
