Workstation Reconnects
If you are returning to work on campus, please contact IT support in advance for help reconnecting equipment, as we have limited on-site resources.
Need furniture moved or a space cleaned? Submit a Facilities Work Order (on campus or VPN connection required) or Custodial Request to ensure your office is ready before requesting a reconnect.
Individual faculty and staff can book one-on-one assistance from IT with setting up your work space by submitting a ticket to the UBC Self-Service Portal.
We are developing a form to request reconnects, but in the meantime please use the UBCO IT Equipment Move Request form.
Use the same disconnect /reconnect date and only fill in a single location.
It is strongly encouraged that you submit requests at least one week in advance.
Note: Please check with your department administrator or supervisor before booking to see if a group reconnection for your unit has already been arranged.
If you would like to book support reconnecting multiple people in a department or shared office space, please submit a ticket to the UBC Self-Service Portal.
Please provide the following details:
- Number of people being reconnected
- Preferred time frame (dates & times)
- Names, building, room, workstation (as applicable)

To request the move of a single UBC employee’s IT equipment (staff or faculty) from one location to another for office moves, renovations or new builds, you can use the Okanagan – Employee IT Equipment Move Request form in the UBC Self-Service Portal.

The UBCO IT Research Computing team has begun booking one-on-one service slots between now and October. Booking early is highly recommended to avoid delays in support.

Peer Technology Assistants (PTAs)
Peer Technology Assistants are part of the Student Learning Hub team to support students with:
- Technical assistance
- Canvas and other UBC learning technologies

The IT Service Desk at the Okanagan campus provides support to UBCO students for:

- Account password resets (please bring valid ID)
