Reconnecting Your Workstation
To support the large number of faculty and staff returning to campus this fall, UBC IT Okanagan is offering advance bookings for support with office workstation reconnections.
If you are planning to return to work on campus this fall, please plan ahead and book early, as we will have limited support available in September.
Please note you will need to follow your Faculty’s Safe Work Plan until full resumption is declared by the Province. Visit UBCO’s COVID-19 website for the latest information about working on campus.
Individual faculty and staff can book a one hour time slot for one-on-one assistance from IT with setting up your work space.
It is strongly encouraged that one-on-one times are reserved as soon as possible.
Note: Please check with your department administrator or supervisor before booking to see if a group reconnection for your unit has already been arranged.
If you would like to book support reconnecting multiple people in a department or shared office space, please submit a ticket to the UBC Self-Service Portal. Please provide the following details:
-Number of people being reconnected/moved
-Preferred time frame (dates & times)
Need help reconnecting your computer(s) in your research lab? Research Computing can help. We are booking slots from June until October, so plan ahead and book, as resources are limited.
- Submit a ServiceNow ticket
- We will review your request, send you an invite to our calendar, and then you can book a date and time that works for you.

The UBCO IT Research Computing team has begun booking one-on-one service slots between now and October. Booking early is highly recommended to avoid delays in support.

Peer Technology Assistants (PTAs)
Peer Technology Assistants are part of the Student Learning Hub team to support students with:
- Technical assistance
- Canvas and other UBC learning technologies
- Access to UBC programs and software
UBC IT Student Support
The IT Service Desk at the Okanagan campus provides support to UBCO students for:
- Connecting to campus wireless
- Account password resets (please bring valid ID)
- Campus printing issues
