Design and Documentation
Proper design is key to the successful completion of any construction project. Our team members have experience and industry training in the design of everything from classrooms and meeting rooms to the unique requirements of recording studios and one-off research spaces. Whether you know exactly what you want and need, or are still exploring your options, we will work with you to provide a solution that will best meet your end requirements while remaining cost effective.
Our design team has long-standing relationships with leaders in all facets of our industry and we are constantly refreshing our knowledge base to keep up with the latest products and changes in technology.
Planning & Project Management
Our Project Managers have extensive experience overseeing projects and systems of various sizes and levels of complexity. We will assist in coordinating with our on campus resources and vendors directly to help ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of any AV project. Our expertise in flat-panel and projection presentation systems, videoconferencing and Unified Communication solutions enables us to create complete systems to fit any need and budget.
Our team will perform a site visit to gather information and conduct a needs analysis with key stakeholders for each system. Once we have, we will solicit quotes from our pre-qualified vendors to ensure the best possible pricing and provide a quote or estimate for the work to be completed. For larger scale projects, we can assist in providing the required documents needed to be sent out for tender.
Every completed project will undergo a rigorous commissioning process to ensure proper functionality. And before turning the system over to the end-user, our support staff and Project Managers put the system through its paces and resolve any outstanding deficiencies. This commissioning process is key to the successful completion of any project.
Integration, Implementation & Programming
The UBC IT AV Integration and Programming team bring unmatched AV industry credentials to UBC. Our programming team will utilize the latest control standards guided by User Experience and Visual Design methodologies – including the shift to “touch free” practices – to give you a user-interface that is functional, intuitive and easy to use. Members of our Integration team hold certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), Crestron Programming and Integration, and Biamp Digital Signal Processing credentials. They also demonstrate commitment to professional growth in the industry through continued education.
Our team has installed hundreds of AV systems on campus and is familiar with the UBC standards and practices pertaining to all construction related work. Following the successful installation of any completed system we will provide training and orientation to faculty and staff. System orientation gives end-users an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the newly installed system and ask questions of our expert staff.
